The Glass Girl

Kathleen Glasgow

Kathleen has done it again! Another novel highlighting mental health, receiving treatment and REAL ,HONEST THOUGHTS of indviduals struggling with divorce and other pressures in their families. In this novel, Bella struggles with the death of her grandmother and her parents divorce. Bella is the older sister and we all know what that means. She carries so much weight at home and it's really taking a toll on her.

Bella starts to self medicate and nearly dies! uuuggghhh, this part had me so annoyed because her friends were completely wrong and inconsiderate. That was a wild night for Bella and essentially it was the night that saved her life. Read to find out more! :)

Nevertheless, Bella prevails and starts to take better care of herself. Her parents also had a reality check when they realized their daughter was exhausted from carrying all the weight they had placed on her.
